JOB SUMMARY

As an integral member of the SLO Classical Academy team, the Early Childhood Office Manager & Classroom Sub of Early Childhood Operations is responsible for providing smooth and efficient day-to-day functions, systems, and support of the Wonders programs that foster children’s natural love of learning and build the foundation for further, rich learning that lasts a lifetime.

Non-Exempt Employee Status; 30-40 hours a week, year-round, with benefits and PTO.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
  • At least 12 Early Childhood Education Units required
  • 2+ years experience working in a childcare facility
  • CPR/Pediatric First Aid Certified
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment, clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee and manage student files
  • Oversee and manage employee files
  • CPR, Pest Management, Mandated Reporter training and tracking
  • Act as project manager for various processes, including onboarding and admissions
  • FACTS: Admissions database
  • Airtable: Update and manage
  • Family onboarding logistics
  • Schedule Wonders Campus tours to prospective families
  • Tuition and Billing
  • Monthly Cubz Corner newsletter
  • Plan, facilitate, and oversee Wonders Campus events, including but not limited to Sneak Peek, campus socials, and fundraising events
  • Assist students, parents, and teachers with their on-site needs upon their request as appropriate
  • Keep inventory of campus classroom supplies, distribute as necessary, and process new orders
  • Facility Maintenance point person:
  • Pest management, plumbing, general repairs, etc.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, campus events, and parent/prospective parent meetings as requested
  • Represent SLOCA in a positive and caring manner on and off campus
  • Communicate with ECD to keep her informed of any/all occurrences
  • Assisting with break coverage, drop off, and pick up.
  • Plans and organizes events on and for the Wonders campus
  • Act as the on-call substitute for unplanned absences on the Wonders Campus

JOB STRUCTURE

  • Reports to the Early Childhood Director

Physical Demands:

Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds on a limited basis. Able to sit at a desk, using a computer for extended and/or intermittent periods of time. These physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
