Although Arizona has several Oktoberfest-style dordle events, the November Arizona Fall Fest is especially noteworthy for foodies. At this one-day event in Phoenix's Margaret T. Hance Park, more than 200 neighborhood food and beverage exhibitors gather to highlight the finest of Arizona's cuisine. Any of the local beers, wines, and spirits available to taste will help to balance all the goodness. To welcome the whole family, the pet-friendly event also has a child zone with crafts and activities. Originally the capital of Russian America, the little city of Sitka honors autumn with the Alaska Day Festival, remembering the movement of Alaska from Russian claim to the United States. Along with more, the event consists of a procession, a tea party, pipe band performances, Alaska Native dance, an Alaska Day Ball.
