“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” –Col. 3:16
Many thanks to John Heaton, Head of New Covenant Schools in Lynchburg, VA in spearheading our conference choir effort and to Michael Attaway, Fine Arts Director at Covenant School of Dallas, for his part in our many conversations about enlivening our arts options.
FIRST-EVER SUMMER CONFERENCE CHOIR!
We are pleased to announce a new form of celebrating truth, goodness, and beauty at this year’s summer conference – introducing our first conference choir experience.
We know God has blessed us with many beautiful voices in our midst, and we invite you to share yours. We hope this choir will not only enrich our worship but will also be a refreshing time for those singers in our midst!
Melissa Bailey, choir director at New Covenant Schools, will lead SCL’s first foray into developing a conference choir. We need singers willing to lead us together from the stage in classic hymns and beautiful choral music.
