Upper School Mathematics Long Term Teacher (Part time)

Rockbridge Academy is seeking candidates for a long-term, Upper School substitute Algebra II and Calculus teacher from March through the end of the current school year. The ideal teacher will possess a love for learning, a love for God's word, a love for children, and a love for the history of math. He or she will be organized and a clear communicator. A bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics is the minimum educational requirement for this position. The math teacher is responsible for clearly communicating to students the fact that math is the language of science, by which we model the natural phenomena we see operating in the created order. He or she will also increase the students' understanding of that fact, and their ability to apply that understanding successfully to the world around them. Student teaching or prior teaching experience is highly desired. Pay range is $23-$28 per hour. Interested applicants should send their resume to learning@rockbridge.org.
