Position Type: Full time (August-May) Part time (June-July)

Job Summary: Heritage Classical Academy is seeking a qualified Upper School Campus Coordinator for the Pepper Pike Campus. Applicants should possess a vibrant Christian testimony demonstrating a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Applicants should also fully support HCA’s Statement of Faith and be excited about the great tradition of classical Christian education. The Campus Coordinator will be instrumental in shaping the Christian culture of HCA, and as such, the ideal candidate will exude a love for children and be warm and welcoming. This position demands a humble leader and lifelong learner who is able to deftly handle interpersonal conflicts, speak winsomely before an audience, and manage daily details of the front desk at a growing school. This position also involves working closely with the Upper School Principal and Assistant to the Upper School Principal in developing and carrying out Upper School student activities and events.

Biblical Expectations: All employees of Heritage Classical Academy possess a Christian testimony demonstrating a personal, active, and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. They also fully support HCA’s Statement of Faith and support the mission to Cultivate Lifelong Learners Who Think and Live for Christ. They will also be part of a local church that aligns with the mission and vision of HCA.

Job Responsibilities (by category):

Daily Campus Operations

  • Demonstrate a biblical model of work via punctuality, consistency, servant leadership, and modesty
  • Share front lobby coverage with the Lower School Campus Coordinator
  • Monitor daily attendance and absences, communicate information to faculty and staff
  • Ensure proper working order of office equipment and order supplies when necessary
  • Manage:
  • Campus filesand student information
  • Monthly fire and safety drills
  • Parent volunteers
  • Recruit parents to lead monthly prayer, lunchroom, room moms, social events, etc.
  • Monitor Service Hours
  • Hot lunch days
  • Uniforms/Rhetoric School jackets, gym uniforms – ordering and distributing
  • Background checks for parent volunteers
  • Day field trip organization
  • Communicate with students, parents, teachers, and administration in a way that fosters a culture of trust and openness:
  • Complete projects and duties assigned by the Upper School Principal and Head of School
  • Support School Health Aide
  • Contribute important communication points to HCA community via weekly newsletter
  • Understand school software programs and assist teachers with questions
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of front office daily
  • Assist with coverage of Upper School lunch
  • Assist Upper School students in daily activities

Staff

  • Support the administration and teaching staff, engendering a culture of Christian charity and joy
  • Create schedules for various rooms (art, library, gym) and alternate schedules for special events
  • Coordinate substitute teachers for the Upper School
  • Assist Principals in managing budget of all purchases for supplies
  • Order requested supplies for classrooms, campus, special programs

Summer Responsibilities

  • Ensure school property in the front office is safely locked up for summer, teacher classrooms are thoroughly cleaned, gym/recess equipment is cleaned, repaired, and/or replaced
  • Ensure campus is stocked with supplies for teachers over the summer
  • Open Campus in August
  • Ensure office is stocked with supplies for teachers
  • Provide teachers with current rosters
  • Help facilitate campus orientation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience in a school environment (preferably in a classical Christian school)
  • Familiarity with the classical model
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
