ABOUT THE JOB

The Rafiki Foundation is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented classical Christian educator to join our team as an on-campus employee (remote work is not offered). Competitive salary and generous benefits.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the continuing development of the Rafiki PreK-12 Classical Christian School Curriculum for use in Africa, the USA, and around the world. You will have the opportunity to work with Rafiki missionaries and with a team of classical Christian curriculum writers from around the country to provide excellent curriculum for primarily Rafiki schools and partner schools in 10 African countries, as well as for schools in the United States and elsewhere. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist the Executive Director in setting the Christian, academic, and classical goals and priorities for the Pre-K-12 Rafiki School Curriculum
  • Write Rafiki School Curriculum as needed
  • Work with the Communications Department in the curricular production process
  • Acquire classically equipped writers and editors matched to appropriate subjects
  • Facilitate and collaborate with authors on content, cultural relativity, clear classical methods, and teacher-friendly instructions to inspire and inform the teachers in preparation for passing the content on to students
  • General editing for content and worldview accuracy, quality composition, clearly labeled lesson components, and well-organized methods
  • Follow-up with proofer and apply appropriate corrections, refining document for final publishing
  • Assist headmasters with specific curricular problem areas PreK-12
  • Confer with School Director re: specific school, teacher-training, and curricular issues
  • Receive, review, and apply curricular corrections from the field, as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A follower of Christ whose life exhibits the good works and fruit of the Spirit which accompany salvation
  • At least a bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred
  • At least 5 years' experience in classical education in classroom, administration, or philosophy
  • Agreement with Rafiki’s Statement of Faith
