The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Support the hiring of a K-6 faculty serving approximately 520 students
  • Foster the desired culture in the lower school
  • Serve as the primary instructional leader and coach of the lower school faculty; ensure the school’s American classical curriculum is delivered with quality, consistency, and integrity;
  • Provide training and support for Literacy Essentials, Singapore Math, Well Ordered Language, and Core Knowledge
  • Supports the Head of School in ensuring the school meets academic, operational, and financial requirements required by law and the Charter Agreement;
  • Assist with monitoring student behavior and addressing disciplinary concerns
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:
  • Masters degree from an accredited institution in the liberal arts or education completed or in progress
  • Minimum of five years of teaching experience required
  • Experience in classical education, teaching, training, and coaching required
  • Candidates must have the credentials to earn a Clearance Certificate from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission
Strong candidates will support the school’s Mission: to develop students in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility.  They will have enthusiasm for the Vision: to be a nationally regarded K-12 classical school and serve as a local and national incubator for growth and promotion of classical education. And they will embody the school’s organizational values. We value
  • the tenets of classical, liberal arts education;
  • community and partnership in the common pursuit of forming intelligent, virtuous citizens;
  • excellence in teaching and learning;
  • the virtues we aim to teach our students: courage, courtesy, honesty, humility, perseverance, self-government, and service.
