Description

Because students are made in the image of God, they are worthy of an education that inspires, cultivates, and orders their loves and renews their minds in preparation for service in the Kingdom of God. The Dead of Grammar School (DGS) is charged with cultivating an educational community of faith and learning, whose community of learners (Grammar staff & students) studies, re-imagines, and teaches within the Christian, liberal arts tradition. Using the tools of classical education, Agathos Classical School assists Christian parents in teaching and training their children to the glory of God.

A direct report to the Head of School (HOS), the Dean of the Grammar School (DGS) oversees, evaluates, and perpetuates the execution and cultivation of the academic vision, educational model, curriculum, instruction, and culture of Agathos Classical School in grades PK-6, i.e., the ACS Grammar school. As such, the DGS must passionately support, defend, administer, and extend the Agathos Classical school official mission, vision, and educational philosophy.

The Dean of the Grammar School’s responsibilities which serve as the basis for an annual evaluation are comprised in the following functional categories:

  1. Research and Design
  2. Training & Implementation
  3. Operational Evaluation
  4. Cultivation and Promotion of Vision
  5. Budgeting and planning
  6. Student Care
