Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with education and experience.
About The Ecclesial Schools
The Ecclesial Schools Initiative is expanding access to extraordinary Christian education by creating schools where children enter a rich learning atmosphere and receive a classical Christian curriculum—regardless of financial means. We are looking for joyful, talented and dedicated school leaders to champion the delivery of the school’s academic mission. Ecclesial School deans are passionate about teachers getting better and more effective, children learning in a culture where they are rooted, known and loved, and parents that are informed and delighted by their child’s learning. Assistant deans are emergent leaders that serve alongside campus deans for 1-2 years in preparation of becoming a campus dean of a location in our growing network of neighborhood classical Christian schools planted in local churches.
Campus deans and assistant deans receive paid in-service training and cohort opportunities throughout the year, beginning with onboarding and orientation. Our goal is to ensure that deans and assistant deans are well prepared and supported as they help teachers accomplish the school's most important mission—providing students with rich and formative classical Christian learning.
Work-life balance is important to us. We create margins in the academic schedules and limit programming outside of school hours. We also seek to create structures and activities that foster collegiality and collaboration. For teachers this means serving on grade-level teams that meet across campuses to work on projects that matter both for their own practice and professional growth, but also for the growth of the academic mission of The Ecclesial Schools. For deans, assistant deans and other academic leaders, this means serving as members of the academic leadership team.
We want The Ecclesial Schools to be a place where children are rooted, known, and loved. We know that begins by creating a workplace—from missional work to competitive compensation—where teachers, staff, and administrators feel the same way.
We are looking for talented and experienced school or division leaders to serve as campus deans, and emergent school or division leaders to serve as assistant deans in preparation for leading a campus as dean within 1-2 years. Reporting to the campus Dean, the Instructional Coach supports teachers directly in the delivery of the school’s academic mission. Reporting to the network President, the Dean / Assistant Dean champions the delivery of the school’s academic mission. They are passionate about teachers getting better and more effective, children learning in a culture where they are rooted, known and loved, and parents that are informed and delighted by their child’s learning. The Dean also leads the campus leadership team and serves on the President's academic leadership team for the network.
The ideal candidate is someone who holds an MA and has 5+ years of experience teaching in a classical school, and 2-3 years in administration (assistant dean) or 5+ years in administration (for dean). We match the district school’s salary level for education and experience, and provide compensation with benefits and matching retirement, professional development, and the opportunity for advancement.
By joining The Ecclesial Schools, you will enjoy:
- Being part of an initiative that is transforming access to classical Christian education.
- Missional work and a positive work environment, with a salary that follows the pay scale of local public schools.
- Access to a benefits package, including health, vision and dental, and a 401K matching retirement program.
- Supporting teachers in classrooms without distractions like on-line grade books, homework assignments, and technology in the classroom.
- Support from dedicated and skilled school leaders and academic leaders.
